I'm an amateur photographer who on the odd occasion is at the right place at the right time.
I have been taking pictures since I was about eight years old using a hand-me-down 110 Instamatic. I've also had a Pentax Zoom 90-WR, Kodak Z740, and now a Kodak Z990 digital camera.
I enjoy taking pictures of flowers (especially wildflowers), lighthouses, waterfalls, architecture, and other things I find interesting, which is just about everything.
My profile picture is a self-portrait taken outside Voodoo Doughnuts in downtown Portland Oregon, July 2013.

I am glad I had my camera along, because I doubt I will ever see such a sight again. Thanks, Heather.
What's on the other side?
Several years ago, Isqúulktpe -- the overlook, its namesake creek and another spring -- finally took back the Umatilla's traditional name for it, which translates into English as "throat-slitting place."
It is pronounced “is-SCHOOL-pa.” I was told.

Thanks, Dörthe. It's good for me to look at these older photos, too.
Good shot of an excellent architectural detail.
