The Domes are on the grounds of University of Western Sydney, Campbelltown Campus. One is 4.5 metre diameter and houses a 400 mm dia Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The other is 2.9 metre diameter. A brick time capsule is in the foreground.

M42, the Orion Nebula, a fantastic sight through binoculars or a small telscope, is 1,300 light years distant in the constellation of Orion.
