Around Mid March and October the Snowgeese Migrate and stop here at Freezout. There can be upwards of 20k at a time. It is very loud and I suggest you have a umbrella if they are going to fly over you just in case. I seen what looks like steam come off the lake when I first moved here and a local told me no that is snow geese. And I said how many? 1,000 they said more like 10-20 times that. It is amazing. This lake is a resting area for migratory birds. I was so shocked to hear that there was that many birds.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyHMbJlhb9kCaught on film in 2011.
