It is a nice picture and one that I have been looking for for some time. This is a picture of what we called Lyvden New Building. It was built in Oliver Cronwell's time but was never completed because Lord Lyvden was dealt with rather harshly by the roundheads. I think he may have been beheaded. I played in this ruin as a child in the 50's but everything around it was still wild. It was just a ruin in the forest. Ah the memories. Thankyou

I think the daffodils are where the former church re-erected in varying guises further along the unseen river used to be & I always love 2 cedar trees. This was the first vulture seen on the former avian park for many years. The paradox of the aviary; Do birds have any rights? Having been plucked from the sky, the park closed due to theft when the birds were repeatedly plucked from their cages.

And finally, after reaching these conclusions he would venture to ask; would a persecuted puritan ever be as elaborate in design? There must be examples. Difficult to imagine & surely, it would've been looted by future generations completely, rather than partially. Then, & only then, would he say to himself, I think it is time to leave it all & move on.

Thanks, William, I think I may have some synchronicity problem as the mark you've suggested shows that the photo is of the 2nd snailmount, when it is of the building. Or did you place the new mark on the building itself? It could be a problem I have with my Apple & this program. I will have another look. I have seen some of your archive, it's so large! Unbelievable. It also inspires me to do a little more. Thanks for taking the time to comment, after seeing some of your spectacular images & their depth I truly appreciate it. Cheers. Charles
