Certainly the most beautiful monument on the entire field. This amazingly touching tribute to the "fighting Irish" regiments named on it's front was sculpted by a Confederate veteran. A definite "must see" stop for any Gettysburg visitor.
This monument, one of the most beautiful on the entire battlefield, is located on a small strip of park land surrounded by private property. You must obtain permission from the owner to visit it, but a visit is well worth the trouble.
