Il leone di San Marco che rappresentava l'egemonia della Repubblica di Venezia nel suo territorio. Monselice era sotto la Serenissima (cosi' chiamata la rep. di venezia), questo leone e' in coppia con un altro all'entrata della parte finale della passeggiata storica sopra la Rocca, un colle ancora intatto di Monselice.
