It still looks impressive among the dunes though whatever foundations it had have succumbed to years of damage from erosion.

The pillbox now lies at an odd angle; like a giant concrete hexagonal nut.

When I was a lot younger it was possible to enter the pillbox through a door at the rear though this is not possible today. The structure is full of sand.

The pillbox is only a part of the extensive concrete defences visible along this bay.

Thanks very much, don't get many days like it. Biggest problem was making sure my dog didn't get his footprints in the undisturbed sand!
