We of 6th Engr Bn Phoenix AZ, reservists there for our 2wks "summer camp," helped build a couple of these guest cabins in fall of 1973. Looks like they turned out nicely and have lasted over 40 yrs too. Best duty ever.

Collins. I am looking for any information you may have regarding what happened to these slaves after they went to live with Lewis Eaton after William Watson Collins. And what happened to the 5 year old slave girl
"Lowertown" information from historical maps and records were originally compiled by Ann Sheriff in the 1970's. Recently, Dr. Dave LePere at Clemson University has produced a map using this information from Sheriff. There is also a map available for sale at the Walhalla Library that shows the general location of these villages. To my knowledge there hasn't been archeological research on these three villages that I mentioned, so I doubt if any one knows their exact whereabouts. If one of them is this man, he is my Great, Great, Great grand father on my mom's side. In 1816: He crossed over into the upper part of Laurens Co & built a house on bank of Enoree River.
