Gee, not a good shot at all I am sorry to say.
Yes, you sure can use this photograph in your book. No problem there. I was standing at the Phan Rang Military Passenger Terminal waiting for the arrival of a plane that was heading to Saigon. I am pleased that you can use it. :-)

Ex Sgt E -5 us army.
The only flagpole when I was there was on the east end of the parade field, next to a Sherman tank. There was still a reviewing stand as shown in your photo.

This building no longer exists. It was torn down about 1986 and a new school built on the site. My wife taught school in this building from 1980 to 1986 when the school district was merged with the Dundy County (Benkelman) school district.
For sure! While I have not seen the one at Creede, the one at Leadville is in such a scenic location.
Thank you for your comments, Kinh Dinh. By today's "digital" standards they are a bit washed out. At the time, however, they were the best possible way of recording what one wanted to remember (35mm Kodachrome). I am sure that both places look much different today, and I have felt that it is important to show places from a historical perspective. One can see progress and change through the years.
