Wonder what year these bridges were built? The section of road leading to it from the east side is the last of the old Lower river road existing and still open. It was a long primitive ride back in the day. I almost lost my life involving this bridge in 1970, My older cousin borrowed the family Corvair dune buggy, I wanted to go but wasn't allowed. He and his friend coming down the hill, came to the bridge, a truck was crossing and they ran off at the Right guardrail into a tree top, The tree sat them gently into the creek, Not a Scratch on them or the car, but I would not have been belted in, and that would have been that.

Yes this is the field and the road bed is still present that leads to the ferry crossing. The land is now in the ownership of the state by the Sweetwater Creek Conservancy State Park.
