From the parking lot of the Nordic Lodge

Betula cordifolia (Betulaceae)

Jonathan Trumbull, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, is interred here.

Interesting pictures. Rarely seen such a snow-covered ice area. Érdekes kép. Ritkán látni ekkora hóval borította jeges területet.

この辺は結構水の多い場所なのですね。

If I'm not mistaken, this very field was behind the house I grew up in. I lived on Eastgate Drive in Charleston. If the location on the map is right, this has got to be it. Very cool, brings back a lot of memories.

This isn't graffitti, mammels left their mark over 100 years ago, late 1800's for u public school grads. No different than a bear scratching on a tree... There is no obscenities, simply names and dates. Go to cave in Rock and u will find marking on the inside of the cave as to the water levels, also names and dates. They are more of a monument to the people who live there.

Ridenour Lake is generally a muddy lake, but it can produce some average fishing. My personal best fish was a 7.5 lb rainbow trout during the fall/winter. The state stocks trout twice a year. Catfish and bluegill are also in this lake. A good, local place to take a child and enjoy a day of fun.

Beautiful landscape.Nice picture
