Are you sure this isn't part of the eccentric Pole's concrete castle?
The un-named man was a very eccentric builder by the looks of this strange construction - and a bit of a rambler as well, judging from the engravings.
However, the subject of this crazy castle, Copernicus, is a very significant figure in world history. In the sixteenth century, he sparked the scientific enlightenment, having refocused the Sun as the centre of the solar system, in defiance of church teachings that the Earth was the centre. He turned out to be correct and he was a Pole.
Strangely, his doctorate was not in astronomy but in Canon Law.
