This scarce bird can often be seen at the lake in the San Lorenzo golf course, along with many other birds of interest. Altogether, a fabulous area where development and wildlife seem to co-exist reasonably well. The estuary nearby is packed with wading birds too. Well worth a visit -as long as you can find your way to the car park after 6 roundabouts! Good restaurant across the bridge that leads to the open coast.
