Aha,so that's Fast castle, eh? I've came across this castle a couple of times in my Scottish history books and I've often wondered what it's like today - now I know! Nice images mate.

This circle was apparently built in 1998 by the farmers son.

You can just see Cairnpapple in the middle of the photo.

thanks for getting back to me waysted, i think i may havr seen the engraving, so you could be possible right, however i live in balfron loan which is 1000yards from the tower,, you could be well right as it was built in the late 18th century i think, its just knows locally as clermiston tower.

hello waysted, i think you need to lay of the green stuff mate, the name of the monument was mase byy sir walter scott and is actually called 'CLERMISTON TOWER'.
