Thanks Marilyn was a nice opportunity to get a good picture of his head as Collin was holding the snake by its tail.
No definitely not Anne! It was Collin a friend from the US who was over here who picked him/her up. I found this compost heap with lot's of snakes present. I took him and some others there to see them.

Amazing that all that work was done for no result. There is a similar abandoned "good intention" not far from here. Someone decided that, now the coal shipping had died out, Seaton Sluice was going to be a seaside resort and so they constructed a railway connection to the network. The work was finished but the railway never opened for some reason. The embankments and a bridge or two still remain.
