From being nearly empty , for a couple of years, as of the 3rd week in October 2010, Coliban Water officially rated this facility as being 100.5% full- yes, water going over the elevated spillway for the first time I can recall since its construction.

You would get damp feet, if not more standing there at the end of October 2010,where it had been almost empty for the last 4/5 years!
Let's hope the past rainfull of this area returns.

For those that never thought this dam wall would overflow, it has been for the last few weeks from mid October.
According to the Coliban Water site , it has been 100.5% full!

The people of Trentham are to be commended for the way they have attended to the preservation of this key element in the town,s history. I often wonder why the rail has not been extended to Daylesford. It would be as great Tourist attraction, and a useful link between the towns.My Uncle screened Mobvies in the Mechanic,s Institute during the war years-Frank Westaway
