My Grandfather did an oil painting from someones photo in 1973 of Maligne Lake, AB, that looks very much like your photo, however I see slight differences in the perspective. I expect the photo he used was taken at a very similar location. Here is the painting my Grandfather did in 1973. This is very exciting for me to see such a similar photo.
