As a child we move often, so I wasn't into making friends. I found solitude in studying the things around me in nature. Many times just setting on a rock and being still. I could sit for hours. I felt as though I was part of nature and I was. It never mattered if it was hot, cold, raining or dry. As much as I love nature and being in it, I love the Creator most! I have been a survivalist before it became a popular tv show. In loving the intricate details of nature and the peace I found on my excursions into it led me to God. My backpacking and caving have ceased because of my health, but my heart jumps every time I step into the forest etc.

HI Corey and Ingrid, thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a good trip to Seattle Ingrid. If you are doing photography look at my Seattle set for locations. Greetings, Greg.

Thank you. I wish I could travel more. Nature has many beautiful surprises.

Hi John, what a wonderful photo! I really like the water action you got with the 6 second exposure. I thought it might have been longer. Thanks for sharing your shot! Greetings, from Idaho, Greg.

Hey John, wonderful photo, great combination of the rocks, the wind blown trees and the fall colors. The fog really gives it that fall feeling. Greetings, Greg.

Well, I guess that rock I sat my camera on made a steady tripod. LOL

When you enlarge the picture the map on the right has the directions and the coordinates.

Great photo of the Ramaria coral mushroom! The composition is perfect with the forest as the backdrop. Very nice!

Hi Pierre, thanks for taking time to view my photos. I appreciate that and enjoy sharing them. Best Wishes, Greg.

Hi John, I did a waterfall tour on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan a couple years ago, looks like I need to do the same thing in West Virginia, you have some beautiful shots. Thanks for you visit, Greg.
