Thank you, Christos, There are many sandy beaches on this coastline of which this is one of the largest and most popular. Personally, I prefer the smaller, more remote, quiet beaches, so I walked along this one very quickly. Greetings from Scotland! Chris.
Christos, Thank you for looking at my photos and for leaving your kind comment on this one. We have very few still, windless days in Scotland and I was fortunate to be there and to see and photograph this scene on such a rare day. Kind regards from Edinburgh! Chris.
Thanks a lot for your visit in my gallery and your kind comments!
Thanks,Alan, Nice to hear from you. I found the stretch of coastline between Kircaldy and Kinghorn to be a surprisingly pleasant walk on a sunny day. Happy New Year! Chris.
Köszönöm Günter! Üdvözlettel. Ferenc
Alain, Many thanks for your compliment on this photograph. Greetings from Scotland! Chris.
The Scottish National Heritage website explains about this and has a diagram showing movements of the shoreline over the last century or so. This confirms that the top of the beach was outside the concrete tank obstacles at this point in the 1980s.
Thanks, Nikon Woman, nice to hear from you! The pier is now a bird reserve and has been inhabited by terns. Despite its industrial overtones, the Firth of Forth can be really beautiful when the light is right. Chris.
Szép Madar! I recognized the hongarian title! And also my brother saw this picture. Super foto!
