I've heard random chatter from co-workers who've resided in the area far longer than myself that the owner built it as a gift for his wife and the design was intended to resemble a bird from the air. (believe it was a seagull but can't remember for sure). I'm not sure if it was fact or just hearsay. But an interesting possibility nonetheless. If anyone can confirm this I'd appreciate it. Visiting family/friends ask quite frequently about the house when driving into Alys and I prefer not to spread inaccuracies.
