We stayed in Qi Xia Yuan for 5 weeks, 2008-9. It is a good hotel except for the cracked toilet, smelly bathrooms and noise .... tiled stone floors throughout and furniture that is continuously scrapped on it to create defining screeches. We had a room on level 8 and were kept awake at night with the furniture being rearranged in the conference centre 4 floors above us! And of course we could hear the same sound from the guests' rooms, but that was not as consistent. One chair in each room had felt on it so it could slide quietly, but nothing else did.
