Really very nice photo.......……. ......I LIKE it. Brumm

Good Morning, Dan! And I wanted to make a joke when I wrote "tree nursery", as I had im my mind things like apple, plum and cherry. I thought: Fruit trees for an orchard? Maybe in southern Ontario and at the Pacific coast, but not in the Prairie.
What I find remarkable about the Indian Head Shelterbelt Center is that is was established in 1901. That means that farmers as well as officials were aware of the usefulness and need of living, green fences in the open landscape long before the drought and wind erosion of the 1930s. I have no idea how severe the drought then was in the northern Plains in Canada, all we hear in Germany is about the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma, Kansas...
Dan, if you have any questions about my home area (99% of my fotos are from there), about our agriculture, please feel free to ask. Have a nice day.
Best regards, Frank
