With the demise of our beloved Panoramio I fear a lot of friendly connections will be lost forever. Certainly the contributions and historic comments from those no longer with us will disappear due to the greed of a company that thinks it above the "don't do evil" creed it supposedly set itself. I am on Flickr And may soon be on Ipernity. If you visit and have a different user name, please identify yourself!

Trog, Your words are informative and so very entertaining, as usual. My goodness, what a fun read. I feel like I'm learning so much from you about the past, and now even about planting and farming! You are something else! Thank you for this, and I'm so glad to have inspired such a speech! You seriously should have been a writer!

I did think about photoshopping a blue plaque on to the wall. Thanks David.

The early bird catches the shot. Lovely!

Patrick Munsch

Yes, I like that title a lot as well

Indeed I was Keith - its such a distinctive viewpoint also.

I hope your doing OK now its stopped droughting over there!

Stay happy - Jethro

I have been to look at this today Gudrun, and it is very disappointing to see. The installation still isn't working properly and the site is scruffy to say the least. I shall be writing to the local council to find out why - it seems so insulting to the designer, and after all, it has only been here for less than a year! The light was still wonderful though, and for this week at least, summer has arrived in Norway :))

Classic shot with great light. Nice one Stephen.

Anyone notice yet, power has been no good barking on about it, just pay the bill!

Thanks for your vote for the NPC Contest June 2011. Greetings, Christian
