With the demise of our beloved Panoramio I fear a lot of friendly connections will be lost forever. Certainly the contributions and historic comments from those no longer with us will disappear due to the greed of a company that thinks it above the "don't do evil" creed it supposedly set itself. I am on Flickr And may soon be on Ipernity. If you visit and have a different user name, please identify yourself!

Friendly greetings and wishes all the best to you from Zygmunt

Please let me know when you are in the area, Füsun. I would love to meet you both even for 15 minutes. :-)

Love, Amelia

It has a certain presence I agree, Haggs. We must have passed it at least 100 times over the years, and that was the first time we took the short detour to go and look at this fairy castle.

Cheers, Amelia

This little post is nowhere near as grand as the American Indian totem poles, Arto, but I'm delighted with the comparison. ;-)

Warm wishes to Finland, Amelia

I have always liked this little part of Whitley Bay and have spent many happy days scrambling over these rocks. Maybe it is me that has worn the stepping places smooth!

Thanks, Keith

Thanks Amelia. This is our third or fourth visit to this location since I joined Pano and I still find new things that interest me.

Cheers, Keith

I am no geologist but I think this is sandstone. I know that some of it is harder the other parts in the same location. This graffiti seems to have remained quite sharp over quite a lifetime, though it is quite a way above the high water mark.

Cheers, Keith

Or something by Norwegian Black Metal? ;-)
