I am an enthusiastic amateur. I take mainly 35mm film. My photographic aspiration is to produce landscape photos that present the subject in the most pleasing and natural way possible. I was there about 35 years ago and still remember how glorious the landscape is! That's a great shot from the perfect vantage point, Pete.

Hi Amelia and thanks for visiting. The memorial path is to remember the 204 men and boys who lost their lives due to the 1862 New Hartley Pit Disaster. The Memorial Garden contains the capped Pit Shaft where the disaster happened. I don't have any pitmen ancestors but the story of this incident moved me.
