With the demise of our beloved Panoramio I fear a lot of friendly connections will be lost forever. Certainly the contributions and historic comments from those no longer with us will disappear due to the greed of a company that thinks it above the "don't do evil" creed it supposedly set itself.

I have now joined Ipernity so I hope we can keep in contact ps: I had forgotten all about "Love lettuce straight from your heart" and it made me chuckle again.

Thanks Nick. I have now started to upload to Flickr, using the same user name. Regards Derek
Dear Mary Alice, Panoramio is over: in about one month we won't be able anymore to load our pictures and we will loose the opportunuty to share visions and thoughts.
Google has decided to kill a popular and simple platform: business reasons are more important and in our world it's a nonsense to keep something free. Intstead to ask us for a rent (it would have make sense) they do prefere to move all of our pictures to the slipshod Google+.
I have seen that many of us are moving instead to Ipernity which is not the same as Panoramio but makes possible to keep the same mood that we live here.
Follow us there!
Greetings from the southern side of the Swiss Alps, Andrea

Panoramio will close permanently on November 4, 2016.
It was great while it lasted, but for a couple years now, we new this day would come. :(
Good grief, Joe. Why did you do that? Is it an advantage? I have no idea.
Cheers, Amelia
:)), well, just try it anyway. IF you get into trouble out there, just call on some of those boats I see all around "your Pent House" to your rescue...and PLEASE save the cakes...:)
Can you swim? :))) Hugs, Sarah
(go to our friend, Steve D's gallery, they have lost their beloved pet, Jasper!!) :((((
We had a really lovely time in Berwick, Keith. It's such an interesting border town with lots of history and interesting bridges. I'm so pleased that you're loving the shots.
Cheers, Amelia
Many thanks Dana
