I am an enthusiastic amateur. I use 35mm film and digital. My photographic aspiration is to produce landscape photos that present the subject in the most pleasing and natural way possible. I no longer participate in the forum due to the absolute pig's ear that G**gle have made of it. I appreciate sincere comments and will endeavour to visit the galleries of those who leave them. It is worth a visit just for the views from the top of the head:

Just another example of a lost resource, Amelia. This was first developed in the 1800s and was extended twice during its life. It wouldn't have cost a lot to clean the bottom once a month and to put signs up saying "Use at your own risk", but that won't happen so it would be better if they just knocked out the concrete wall at the right and just let it be washed and drained by the tide twice a day.

It was a large paddling pool on the promenade and was usually teaming with little'ns on summer days. A lot of Whitley Bay fell into neglect just like this, but they are beginning a large project along the sea front, which hopefully will breath new life into this tired resort.

Cheers, Keith

It was a bar frequented by us young "rocksters" at a time of Hawkwind's "Silver Machine" and Roxy Music's "Virginia Plain". I wonder what they have on the Jukebox nowadays. Cheers

Beautiful landscape and good photo - like

My dear friend, I cordially greet and I wish all the best - Zygmunt

How long would it take you to get to Cardiff, Rosa? This little castle is well worth a visit. I'm sure you'd love it inside too.

Cheers, Amelia

Thank you so much for adding this one to your favourites, dear Joli. Living on a relatively small island, there are miles of coastline to walk, and this one is very exciting.

Hugs, Amelia

keepclicking Thanks a lot KC

Great place , nice shot ! LK it !

I think he got even grumpier when I asked him for his permission before I took the photo, Sarah. I'm sure he was smiling until I got my camera pointing at him. ;-)

Hugs to Georgia, Amelia
