This is beautiful, a superb picture of the fascinating castle. L&F Greetings, Joli

Like Davaar Island in Campbeltown, Scotland. L and best regards, Karl

Hi Amelia,

Thank you for sharing this one. I was so surprised to see the words Castell Coch on a picture which looked so non-Welsh. Like Rosa said, more German. I did not know of it, so now on my next trip to south Wales I will have to pay it a visit. I like it!

Best wishes Peter

Many thanks Zygmunt. Your kind comments and like are much appreciated. Best wishes, Doug

Or something by Norwegian Black Metal? ;-)

Yes, it's an interesting place, Keith. I would certainly like to visit Northumberlandia. ;-)

It is worth a visit just for the views from the top of the head:

Cheers, Keith

Just another example of a lost resource, Amelia. This was first developed in the 1800s and was extended twice during its life. It wouldn't have cost a lot to clean the bottom once a month and to put signs up saying "Use at your own risk", but that won't happen so it would be better if they just knocked out the concrete wall at the right and just let it be washed and drained by the tide twice a day.

Cheers, Keith

It was a large paddling pool on the promenade and was usually teaming with little'ns on summer days. A lot of Whitley Bay fell into neglect just like this, but they are beginning a large project along the sea front, which hopefully will breath new life into this tired resort.

Cheers, Keith

keepclicking Thanks a lot KC
