I Came to the United States on this ship with my parents and my older brother from Germany at the age of 1 1/2 in November 1954. Not an enjoyable trip for my dad because he was so sea sick that he made the comment that they had the best of the best food and he was to sick to enjoy any of it. I find it sad that so much of our hard earned tax dollars are wasted on so many things and we can't even restore such a valuable piece of history.
