My Family moved to Douglas County Georgia in 1964. Started a Local clock Sales and Repair Business in 1967. Have always been interested in history in general. Currently trying to preserve the memory of the South East Riverside of Douglas County before it is all lost to Disturbutary (tributary) and other such invasive commercialization of this untouched area. Essentially This land was Indian territory until 1835, The first settlers were coming in around 1837 and held these properties until the mid 1940's when the land was subdivided into what is Listed as Riverside Gardens subdivision. Now all traces of History of the surrounding area are being permanently erased from existence. Sad, but this is my home as it was to the early pioneers of Douglas County.
