Thanks for the comments. I was intrigued, having just come back from this coast, how long some of the logs/trees have been on the beach. I suspect in some cases the logs have been in place for a hundred years or more since the last 'storm of the century' threw them above the high tide line.

The official name is Head Harbour Lightstation, a.k.a. East Quoddy Head Light.
A lot of confusion is created by the name of the state park next to West Quoddy Head Light in Lubec, Quoddy Head State Park, but is actually located on West Quoddy Head.
