These pictures aren't of the town of Nelson. These are the little tourist trap on the road between Nelson and the Colorado River. The owners named their store "Techatticup", after the once-famous mine, which is across the road. They claim to offer tours of the Techatticup Mine, but it is privately owned and NOT open for tours. The tour you get is of the Real Good, a lesser mine in the same general area.

The mine map(http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/50308886.jpg) seems to indicate that one tours the Techatticup mine as stated. I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
I went inside and it is definitely a mine, not a shed. As to whether or not it is really the Techatticup Mine, all I can say is that it is billed as the Techatticup Mine by Pink Jeep Tours. Thus the title of the photograph is appropriate if it is to be found by somebody searching for material related to the Pink Jeep Eldorado Canyon tour. However I will qualify the title by adding (purported) to it.

The main structure in the photo is the old stamp mill, which is directly below the Techatticup Mine headframe.

These odd shapes are called "hoo doos". There are quite a few of them on the road between Nelson, NV and the Colorado River.
