Hey Hank Wheat, Let me say this about that. I was a youngster of 18 and reached Germany one year later. I spent almost four years in Hessen Homburg Kaserne with the 526th Quartermaster would have stayed longer except they said I had to have a Ken Card. I also spent almost four years stopping daily at a place called Sportz Zentral near Sportz Platz. I was Mutti's favorite GI because I bought. Got there in December 1951 and left September 1955. Noe I'm 78 and always considered those the best years of my life. Been all over Europe and had probably the cushiest job in the army (company clerk)
