Dan Bogart's conversations

This is a scene from McKee Botanical Gardens located approximately 2.5 miles from "Vero Beach South" on this map. "Vero Beach South" is not a recognized location, governmental entity, nor geographic place of any kind. It is rather curious as to why it shows up in Google Earth.

This is the site of the original Dale Creek Trestle that was built approximately 25 miles NW of Cheyenne, WY in 1867. It was the tallest bridge/trestle on the UPRR route. You can see the footings of the wooden supports looking across the canyon toward the WSW along the 1867 route. The structure was very unstable and required constant, costly maintenance so the tracks were eventually relocated to the south of the original route and the Dale Creek Trestle was dismantled. The site is located on private land and must be accessed with permission of the owners. Contact the Wyoming Historical Society for details.
