Cross Creek is all dried up now, and the levels in Orange Lake are

Grew up in area, in 50's & 60's Lake was called Maule Lake. Used to take small 6 ft. boat down snake creek and camp on island, that now looks like it has been connected to shore. Guess Maule Lake was not as appealing for condos as "Sky Lake", so they changed the name.

Your opinion is very important to me!

I I used to put pennies on this same track to be squashed when I was kid in 1948..Sad, The US needs more trains....

Hi Ted, I really like your pictures, let me know when you are in this area to say Hi to you... NICE PICS!!

Fascinating tunnel as it's a tunnel for the CSX line to go under Norfolk Southern's lines. It also goes under an old Krispy Kream & the Church Street Bridge that goes over the Norfolk Southern lines. Before I knew the tunnel was there, I would be sitting in traffic on the bridge, hear a train & train whistle, look down on the Norfolk Southern tracks & not see a train. I couldn't figure out where the train was, until I found out about this tunnel.

The summit in the background is known as Jackson Knob.

Thanks, Ted! Hope you get some great shots up there.
