I live on Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia (West Pacific). I teach at the College of Micronesia in the Education Division.
All of the photographs between Oct 2010 and early July 2013 (Chemnitz, Sachsen, Narita, Chuuk, Bangkok, Guam, Hong Kong, Macau, and--most importantly--Pohnpei) here are taken with an Panasonic Lumix FZ38, which I bought in anticipation of my move to Pohnpei and with which I've been very happy.
In July 2013, I bought a Panasonic GF3, Micro 4/3 camera, especially for night-photography. All pictures that were taken with this camera are tagged as such. As you can see, my new 'thing' is night photography, especially night portraits. This has two reasons: since I work during the day and live in the tropics (where it gets dark early and where there is little artificial light), I'm often out at night and this have a lot of night portrait opportunities. And then, 2) I just bought a nimble GF3 (Micro 4/3) camera which is very good for night photography.
Just for the record: the photos taken in the U.S. are scanned slides taken with a Minolta SR T303a (which is the case for very few photos in Chemnitz too). A few taken in Florida (those where it says "Zoran Corporation COACH") are taken with a Minox Leica M5, however, which is a tiny, quirky 5MPixel 'toy'.
None of the pictures here is post-processed. Very few are slightly cropped, but that's it. All photos, including those taken at night, are hand-held.
