I live in Quang Ngai, in the middle of Vietnam. In 2011-13 , I lived on Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia (West Pacific). In the beginning of 2014 I traveled through Southeast Asia.
All of the photographs between Oct 2010 and early July 2013 (Chemnitz, Sachsen, Narita, Chuuk, Bangkok, Guam, Hong Kong, Macau, and--most importantly--Pohnpei) here are taken with an Panasonic Lumix FZ38, which I bought in anticipation of my move to Pohnpei and with which I was very happy.
In July 2013, I bought a Panasonic GF3, Micro 4/3 camera, especially for night-photography. All pictures that were taken with this camera are tagged as such. As long as I lived on Pohnpei, I did a lot of night photography, especially portraits for which I bought a nimble Panasonic GF3 (Micro 4/3).
Just for the record: the photos taken in the U.S. are scanned slides taken with a Minolta SR T303a (which is also the case for very few photos in Chemnitz). A few taken in Florida (those where it says "Zoran Corporation COACH") are taken with a Minox Leica M5, however, which is a tiny, quirky 5MPixel 'toy' that doesn't produce good photos.
None of the pictures here is post-processed. Very few (less than 0.5 per cent) are slightly cropped, but that's it. All photos, including those taken at night, are hand-held.
