Yes, it's a Roman aqueduct, although it is big enough to use as a footbridge as well.

Nice point of view to Humbolt university, isn't? :-D Thanks for right correction to my picture pointer. BTW, I seen from Your photos, You almost followed same path as I was then in Berlin. Except than I missed my chances see Reichstag, and some views from Berlin Dome inside. With rgrds - ainars P.S> I think - Berlin zoo is great and one of reasons visit town again!
