Point Adams Lighthouse. The Point Adams Light was lit on February 15, 1875. From the start the lighthouse was plagued with problems. The Lighthouse Service decided in 1899 to discontinue the lighthouse, and replace it with the Desdemona Sands Light. The lighthouse was burned in 1912 because "it was a fire hazard".
