This photograph is of a portion of the Barthell Coal Mining Camp. The Camp, owned by the Stearns Caol and Lumber Co., was operational from 1902-1943. The camp is currently privately owned and was recontructed by the Koger Family to preserve its history and is a tourist destination featuring lodging, restruant and museum.
