This is a common mistake, it was lately called "The Midland Chambers." Originally it was the "Midland Grand Hotel" built by the Midland Railway, between 1868-76, in front of the real station. It is currently being refurbished to reopen as a Hotel, possibly sometime this year.
5 November 2007 - Bonfire Night. Bonfires are lit and there are fireworks displays all over London (and the UK) to commemorate the Gunpowder Plot, an attempt to blow up James I and his Parliament.
