Nice view. Like!
This is also just north of dead man's curve where there used to be an old country store. Until my grandpa bought it and made it his residence. I saw many a bad crash at that curve when I was young. It is still there. Like many roads in this area it goes around the corners created by 80 acre farm plots.
this picture brings back some good memories ^-^

Yes there is a waterfall far back in the cave to be precise there are two waterfalls. One is a short waterfall. I have a surveryed map of this cave. I have caved the entire extent of what can be caved. To do so you need to be skilled and knowledgable about caving and the eco systems before you just trove through. There are many issue that can arise and it is dangerous if you are not experienced. This particular cave is 7410' which equals to 1.40 miles. In order to complete this system you need proper gear as it will require an overnight in the system. Not only can exhaustion cause issues, but also hypothermia. If you go please make sure there are three or more people at all times, it is the safest way in case of an emergency and please wear proper gear. Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints. i have done alot of work on this system carrying out other garbage. If we want to continue to access and be able to visit places such as this we must respect it. Safe caving and happy trails.

In the mid to late 70's, I worked on a construction project at this spot. We cut
a 5 ft. wide strip across the 500 feet of concrete parking apron from this control tower to the other side. The concrete was 4 feet thick. It took us all summer to cut the strip out and install conduit pipes for cables to a new weather station beside the main runway, and put new concrete in place. Lots of fun.
