Uhhh...did you know that Cuba became part of the US as the result of the Spanish American war? We gave Cuba its indepedence as a democratic state and the base was/is the resut of a legitimate treaty as part of that independence. While I wouldn't say that all of Cuba's democratically elected officials were sterling individuals, the self-anointed bastard who is currently screwing the Cuban people is completely illegitimate-and hardly has the right to protest anything, especially after 50 years of raping his own country and people. There is a reason why 10% of the Cuban population fled the island. As far as the treaty's continuing legiticy, it has been upheld in international courts. Now, as far as being proud, well I had nothing to do with that treaty so I have no emotion on way or the other. As far as the current Cuban government goes, I know first hand the misery that Castro has inflicted on the good people of Cuba. I hope that one day the Cuban people will be able to rise up and take their country back, returning it to the democratic state that it was.

the location of this photo is wrong. just letting you know the building with your mark on it is the employee rec center not the lodge. the lodge is about 1/4 mile to the north.
