Thank you Omar! Every railwayman and woman in the UK has to wear
the high-visibility orange clothing when working on the railway.
Maybe I should have scanned the negative?
Greetings. I remember this scene all too well from commuting days.
Wait till the train stops and seek out the best steam-heated Mk1!
Settle into a nice spring cushion seat, wipe the condensation off
the window and listen to the gentle 'putter' of 31324's exhaust
as the guard blew his whistle.
Thank Mick! Roger
Thanks for the comment, Roger. It was a lovely scene, it's just a pity that all I had with me was my phone. Greetings from far-distant London!
Hello, Joe_Lourenco thanks for your visit and LIKE , a friendly hug from Argentina , " Omar "
This box was previously located at Leaton, on the line between Shrewsbury and Gobowen. It was abolished from there in the late 1980s and then purchased by the Llangollen Railway who re-errected it here. Good to see it preserved.
Nice composition. Lk
Happy new Year. Filipe
Rainer, thank you, danke! Hand held, (for station staff do not like
photographers using tripods) so 1600 asa, SQUEEZE the shutter
gently and take several pictures to ensure one shake-free one.
Hi Rainer! Thank you for looking at my photos. Yes, I did use a 300mm
tele lense and it does make the track look distorted but in reality it isn't as bad as it looks
although this line is not subject to high-speed running for which higher
standards of maintenance exist.
I have one or two pics showing some badly dipped track in a main station.I will
upload them soon. Do have a great Christmas and all good wishes from the
UK for the New Year. Roger
Good shot Roger - like.
Greetings from Berlin Rainer
