i was in this beautiful place,when i was in the Army in 1941,then i went to Burma and served there for 5 years,thanks for taking these beautiful pictures,burma.alf@blueyonder.co.uk,now 87 years young.
I've no idea about shark threats at Byron Bay - it's a great little town. I went there in the Winter (June) but the weather was still as hot as Summer in the UK. Apparently Byron Bay gets packed in the Summer with surfers. I thought Australia was brilliant. Good weather, amazing scenery, friendly people, no litter, great fresh food, good beer! I'm hoping to go back again in a few months. Have a great time.
