Britiah Aerospace site over the wall on left.

My Birth-Place. The site of the former Hessle Shipyard. = Silty Mud.

This is cool. Most of these are fenced off, or have a metal wall over the entrances with a locked access door in the middle. This segment here is about 400 feet long.

These cottages where subject to compulsory demolition by the railway owners. A short lived protest was launched to protect them from demolition but before anything could be done someone set fire to them resulting in demolition - handy that

THIS USED TO BE SANDYBEACHES CARAVAN SITE OLD FISH SHOP. THESE BUILDINGS NOW OVER THE CLIFF. NOVEMBER 2009.

This is not and never was a mineshaft but the original pond/reservoir for the steam powered engine house which stood nearer the railway line.

The engine hauled the wagons up an old incline from the Hollins mine 400ft below to the original Kilns.

Very nice shot! I like it! Voted Áron

Can you have a look at the title of the image please. There is no such place as Spurnsea Point. The location also appears to be Easington, East Riding of Yorkshire.

My father was from Hull Gillet St, and he dived into the St.Andrews Dock, when he was 17 years old,5th September 1938 and saved the life of a child who had fallen in. He was awarded a velum parchment by the Royal Humane Society. This was lost during the war. He mentioned this to my son, who was about 11 at the time, who asked me was this tale true or just a story, I coudnt comment as I'd never heard it. He looked on the internet , and made a few contacts, we presented him with a copy of the scrole at his 80th birthday party in the year 2000. We have that framed and in our home, it will go to my son who discovered the fact that it was a true story.

This photo is the same as photo ID 1795763. One of them must be misplaced as the locations must be a good 30 miles apart.
