Hello simon, thank you for visiting my photos. Burr Trail is one of my favorite scenic roads in Utah, athough there are many beautiful roads in Utah. I like to drive this road from the Boulder side, because I find the view down through Waterpocket Fold amazing. I hope you enjoyed your trip in Utah. Greetings from Montana!
I came to this spot in November 2006 with my parents. We came from Hwy 12 to Boulder then via the Burr Trail into Capitol Reef NP. We then turned around back to Boulder and continued to Hwy 12 north to Torrey. The panoramic view of the Waterpocket Fold from here is magnificent with the Henry Mountains directely ahead across the abyss.
