Born in 1960, in Yerevan (Armenia).
EDUCATION: Yerevan State University, Astrophysical Department of Physics Faculty, 1977-82.
EXPERIENCE: Since 1979 - engaged in discovery and photography of ancient astronomical monuments of Armenia, and since 1987 - in rock-carvings (petroglyphs) particularly.
From 1994 - researcher at the Department of Ancient History of the Institute of History (National Academy of Sciences of Armenia). Doctor of History.
Founder and president of ARARA-T (Armenian Rock Art Research Academy - Tir), 2000.
RESEARCH: discovery, photography, classification, dating, analyzing of Armenian rock-carvings and astronomical structures.
ACTIVITIES: scientific trips to the mountains. Guided tours to the Rock Art sites.
INTERESTS: hiking, cycling, art photography, spiritual music, science fiction, electronics.
LANGUAGES: fluent Armenian, Russian, good English.
