Originally a hunting lodge for the Prince-Bishops. Inside you can see the Prince-Bishop's loo amongst other things. Taking photos like in other German museums is very verboten.

Take from the allotments by the river. Erlabrunn has several wine producers, most is Tafelwein but some is very good.

Built 1893-4 as a lookout and to look decorative.

The old residence of the Prince-Bishops of Franconia. Having taken the religious and political high ground, they had to fend off the locals who fancied a bit more freedom.

In the so-called Franconian Switzerland, A series of limestone gorges are very picturesque. A favorite place for motor bikers which can make it rater noisy.

Picture postcard town, awash with tourists, their 'Schneebal' taste like cardboard with sugar on. Most famously they sell Christmas decorations all year round. Not really my thing.

A great day out. Food in the Wirdshaus is good too.
