Thank you for sharing this photo. I think I lived in the apartment building on the left (with the sidewalk cafe). I was there from age 8 months to 4 years with my parents, while my father, a US Army officer, was stationed in Izmir, 1964-67. If the building just beyond it, set back from the street a little, is the old NATO office, then I'm sure that's it. We lived on the 7th floor and my parents had a metal screen installed on the balcony so I couldn't climb over the edge and fall (a child died that way a year or so before we moved there, I think). However, there was a small gap between the bottom of the screen and the rail. Not large enough for me to fit through, but large enough for me to throw toys or a tray to the sidewalk below. The building's kapıcı would come up and scold my mother, but he couldn't bring himself to scold a red-headed 3-year old boy. I still enjoy dropping things from great heights, by the way, and so does my young red-headed son!

Merhaba Umit, bu panoramaya ugradigin icin tesekkurler :) Evet ozellikle deniz manzaralarinda dalgalarin hareketinden dolayi bazen ufuk cizgisi oldukca egri olabiliyor.
